Congratulations to our Literary Team! 

The Lions competed at State Literary in 14 events at Gordon State College on Monday and brought home the title of Literary GISA AA State Runner Up!!  We are so proud of our competitors and their performances. Below are the students that were placed in the state. Places 1-4 were announced, and most events had 12 different school competitors.  We’re so proud of our Literary Lions!

  • Argumentative Essay - Ansley Hovater, 4th place
  • Personal Essay - Charlotte Mills, 4th place
  • Rhetorical Essay - Isabelle Stephens, 1st place
  • Spelling - William Greene, 3rd place
  • Impromptu Speaking - Ansley Hovater, 1st place

Boonli.com Now Open for April Lunch Orders

Boonli.com is now open for your April lunch orders and will close on Thursday, March 28th at 9 am.

If you are new to the WCA community, or if this is your first time placing an order, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Boonli.com
  • Click the link to “Register” at the top of the page
  • Enter the password for our school - WCA319
  • Follow prompts to complete your registration, including creating profiles for each of your students.
  • Make your lunch selections and add them to your cart.
  • Be sure to “check out” and pay after you've made your selections.  Your order is not placed until it's paid for!

Miles for Smiles Inaugural 5K - Register today!

This year, as a part of our Lions Lead student program, Westminster has been sponsored by the Chick Fil A Leader Academy. The students involved with the program are equipped through leadership lessons to become servant leaders serving our community.  In culmination of the year’s efforts, our students have developed an Impact Project, and we are excited to announce this project to you!

In partnership with Fresh Wind Recovery, the Chick Fil A Leader Academy of Westminster is sponsoring a Miles for Smiles 5K on Saturday, May 4th at Wire Park in Watkinsville.  The goal is to raise funds to help with dental care for individuals who have overcome substance abuse and found new life in Jesus. As these individuals seek to become productive members of society and attain employment, they have every reason to smile.  All proceeds from the race are going to Fresh Wind in order to aid of their recovery patients' dental health needs and allow them to smile with confidence.

  • Start Time: 8:00am EDT, registration open at 7 am
  • Price: $30.00 Race Fee, No Shirt $25.00

ERB Testing in March & April

Grades 6th and 7th test next week.

It's the time of the school year to start thinking about ERB standardized testing for our students in grades 2nd through 7th.  Grades 6 and 7 will test during the high school's LEAP week and grades 2 - 5 will test after Spring Break.  Below you will find the testing schedule and additional information.

Testing Schedule:

  • March 26 - 28 ~ 6th and 7th grade students
  • April 15 - 18 ~ 2nd through 5th grade students
  • Testing will be completed by 10:30 am each day and the rest of the day will be their normal class schedule.

Thinking Ahead:

  • Make sure your student gets adequate sleep and arrives unhurried and on time each day. 
  • Please plan for your students to be in attendance during testing times each day unless there is an emergency or illness.
  • Please arrive before 8:00 a.m. If you arrive after 8 am, please check in with Mrs. Boswell as usual and leave your child with her.
  • All Students will need a #2 pencil (Ticonderoga brand are great)

Spring Musical - Save the Date

This year's spring musical, Willy Wonka Kids, will be here before we know it and we are getting so excited! If you haven't already, please mark your calendars for the two performance dates this year, Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. Both performances will be held in the WCA gym, and tickets will be available for purchase beginning the week of April 8th, after Spring Break.  


Field Day 2024

Save the date and get ready to volunteer!

Spring days seem to maybe here to stay!  So it's a perfect time to enjoy the outdoors and get ready for WCA's annual Field Day!  This day of fun and friendly competition will be held on Friday, April 19th beginning at 8 am.  

Volunteers:  Many helping hands are needed to help this day run smoothly.  If you would like to volunteer, please watch for sign up opportunities coming later this week.

Early Release:  Field Day is an early release day for all students.  Here's what you need to know:

  • PreK and Kindergarten - early release at 11:30 am
  • 1st Grade through 12th Grade - early release at 12:15 pm

LEAP Week for the Upper School

Experiential learning for grades 8th - 11th.

Next week our campus will be a little quieter as upper school students in grades 8 - 11 will be participating in LEAP Week (Learning through Experience, Actions and Partnerships).  This week gives students the opportunity to learn outside the normal classroom setting.  Students will be enjoying courses such as a Washington DC trip, a college tour, southern studies tour, coastal camping and kayaking, art, film studies and local service projects.  Additionally, some students will be participating in an internship in a field of their choosing.  If you have last-minute questions about your student's plans, please contact the faculty instructor or Kelly Cole.


Almost time for Spring Break!

Westminster will be closed the week of April 1st - 5th, for Spring Break.  Normal operations will resume on Monday, April 8th.  We hope everyone enjoys this time away from the routine!


AfterSchool Program Registration

We are happy to be able to offer our After School extended day program to our parents who need additional childcare.  After School (available to all lower school students) begins at 2:45 with pick-up at 5:15 pm.  

After School Reminders:

  • Please remember that pre-registration (see process below) is needed for the after school program.
  • There are a limited number of spaces available for each day.  If you haven't pre-registered, and we reach our maximum number of students, your child will be unable to stay.
  • Additionally, please remember that a student in extended care may only be signed out by someone who is of driving age or older.
  • **Emergency contact form must be completed and returned before a child can stay for AfterSchool. Please follow this link for the form.**
  • Charges of $15 per day per session will be billed to your FACTS account on a monthly basis on the 15th of the month for the previous month.
  • Please know, that effective immediately, there will be a $10 fee for all late pickups.
  • Pick-up time is by 5:15 pm.  Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

How do I sign up?

  • Click the link: After School Registration
  • Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If After School reaches max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day. 
  • Click on the "Calendar" box and select “ASP SIGN UP”
  • Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
  • Type AS for After School.
