It's so sad . . .
It's not actually sad at all, but a Student Appreciation Day! Here's what you need to know . . .
Upper School:
- Enjoy an extended lunch out on the fields.
- The Chick Fil A food truck will be on site for you to purchase your lunch (cash or card accepted) or bring your own to enjoy.
- Throw a football or Frisbee with your friends and enjoy the hopefully beautiful Fall weather.
- Enjoy FREE snowballs from Pelicans
Lower School: Enjoy FREE snowballs from Pelicans on the field after your lunch with your classmates.
We love you guys and appreciate all the energy and excitement you bring to campus each day! Looking forward to a great time!
Save the Date & Volunteers Needed
On Friday, October 30th, WCA will hold a Lower School Fall Festival from 9 until 11 am. This morning of fun will be followed by an early dismissal at 11:30 for all lower school students. Please know that there will be after school available following dismissal on this day for those who need it. Parents will need to pre-registration the week before (details to come).
We do need a few parent volunteers to assist with the Fall Festival. If you would like to help with this event, please follow the link below to sign up.

Admissions Preview Day
Westminster is holding our next admissions preview event on Tuesday, October 20th beginning at 9 am in the administrative building.
If you know of families who are interested in learning more about who we are, please help us spread the word! This is a great opportunity to learn about the unique mission of Westminster, meet our amazing faculty and staff and tour our campus.

Teacher Appreciation Committee ~ Donations & Volunteers
WCA is blessed to have an amazing and dedicated faculty and one of the important functions of the parents' association is their work making our teachers feel appreciated.
The teacher's appreciation committee is currently planning for the year and are in need of donations and volunteers. They would like to ask families to prayerfully consider donating $15 towards the fund. This money goes directly towards the committees events which includes providing meals and food for the teachers consistently throughout the year. If you would like to donate, please sign up through the linked sign up form below and your FACTS account will be billed.

Senior Night
Monday, October 5th, will be Senior Night for our volleyball team. Seniors and their parents will be honored before the 6 pm start of the match versus George Walton Academy. Please join us as we honor these amazing student athletes and their years of contribution to the sport!
Caps for Cure Success!
Last week we raised $1,232.50 to donate to the Cure Childhood Cancer organization. This is an outstanding 40% increase over last year! Thank you to each of you for your part in supporting this annual fundraiser and this amazing organization.

Yearbooks must be ordered in advance and are not typically available for last minute purchase. The cost is $70 per yearbook and for your convenience, Jostens offers a split payment option at checkout if desired.

JR's & SR's Dual Enrollment
Any 11th and 12th grade student wanting to take a dual enrollment class through Truett McConnell University needs to see or email Mrs. Cole (kcole@wcalions.org) by October 10th. Please note that this does not include students currently in the American History class with Ms. Gamble.
Senior Parents & Students
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be open starting October 1st. This is a requirement for some college and university financial aid opportunities. Be on the lookout for an email from Mrs. Cole for details regarding the FAFSA and college financial aid process.
Fall Break 2020 ~ Next Week
If it's not on your calendar yet, please make sure you note that WCA will be closed October 8–9 and 12–13 for our Fall Break. Whether you're planning a "stay-cation" or taking a trip, we hope this is a great time to relax and enjoy time with your family!
BoxTops for Education ~ No More Clipping!
BoxTops for Education has gone digital this year - no more clipping! All you have to do is download the mobile app and scan your store receipt to earn money for our school.
All funds raised through your participation in the BoxTops program will go to purchase books and other materials for our library.

Lunch Bunch & After School Sign-Up
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are limiting the number of students who attend the Lunch Bunch and After School programs. Parents are asked to register a week in advance by following the link and instructions below.
- Click the link: Lunch Bunch & After School Registration
- Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If Lunch Bunch or After School reach max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day.
- Click on the "Calendar" box and select "LB/AS SIGN UP"
- Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
- Type LB for Lunch Bunch, AS for After School or LB/AS for Both
