Visual Arts Bring Home Honors
The rescheduled 2019-2020 GAPPS (Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools) visual arts competition was held in McDonough on September 16th and our WCA artists had a terrific showing!
Students placed in all categories entered and our middle school won the region Championship, while our high school artists won region runner-up! Our 13 high school pieces will continue on to the state competition on October 1st in Macon. Congratulations to all our amazing artists!

October Lunch Orders ~ Deadline TONIGHT
Don't forget to log on and place your October lunch orders on Boonli.com before midnight tonight. Next month you'll be thankful you did!
If you have an existing Boonli.com account, your log-in will remain the same. Please note, existing account holders have to update profiles for each student before you can see the menus.
If you are new to the WCA community, or if this is your first time placing an order, please follow these steps:
- Go to Boonli.com
- Click the link to "Log In" at the top of the page
- Enter the password for our school - WCA319
- Follow prompts to complete your registration including profiles for each of your students.
- Order lunches for each student. (lunches are ordered by the month in advance)
- Be sure to go to checkout and pay after you've made your selections. Your order is not placed until it's paid for!

Caps for Cure Fundraiser ~ Let's Finish Strong!
It's been great to see all the different caps and hats students and faculty have elected to wear this week in support of our Caps for Cure event. Friday closes out this year's fundraiser and for all of you who have made donations, thank you! If you haven't yet made a donation, there is still time to do so and help us reach our goal.
Caps for CURE is a school-wide event benefiting CURE Childhood Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through targeted research while supporting patients and their families. How can you participate?
- All WCA students may pay $5 for the week and wear a hat each day.
- Wearing a cap not your thing? Then please consider making a donation. All donations of any size are appreciated whether you choose to wear a cap or not.

Next week the upper school was originally scheduled to be at the annual Impact Retreat but sadly, it had to be postponed. So, to raise spirits and celebrate 7 successful weeks in school (Yay!!!), we are having an S.A.D. (Student Appreciation Day) on Friday, October 2nd! Here's what's happening:
Admissions Preview Day
Westminster is holding our next admissions preview event on Tuesday, October 20th beginning at 9 am in the administrative building.
If you know of families who are interested in learning more about who we are, please help us spread the word! This is a great opportunity to learn about the unique mission of Westminster, meet our amazing faculty and staff and tour our campus.

Fall Break Is Headed Our Way
If it's not on your calendar yet, please make sure you note that WCA will be closed October 8 - 9 and 12 - 13 for our Fall Break. Whether you're planning a "stay-cation" or taking a trip, we hope this is a great time to relax and enjoy time with your family!
School Pictures Updates
School Pictures: Proofs and picture orders should be distributed to all students by the end of the week. If you would like to order pictures, please follow the instructions included with the proof.
Make-up Pictures: If your child was absent on Picture Day or needs a retake, the date for those pictures to be re-taken is Wednesday, October 21st.
Help Needed
The WCA One Act Team is looking for someone to help with some simple carpentry for our One Act set. Please contact Kelly Cole kcole@wcalions.org if you can help. Thanks!
History Bowl & Geography Bee
History bowl and geography bee practices will start next week. History bowl practice will be on Mondays 2:50-3:30. Geography bee practice will be on Tuesdays 2:50-3:30.
The day of the competition is October 16th during the school day. Any questions please email hburnett@wcalions.org.
BoxTops for Education ~ No More Clipping!
BoxTops for Education has gone digital this year - no more clipping! All you have to do is download the mobile app and scan your store receipt to earn money for our school.
All funds raised through your participation in the BoxTops program will go to purchase books and other materials for our library.

Lunch Bunch & After School Sign-Up
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are limiting the number of students who attend the Lunch Bunch and After School programs. Parents are asked to register a week in advance by following the link and instructions below.
- Click the link: Lunch Bunch & After School Registration
- Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If Lunch Bunch or After School reach max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day.
- Click on the "Calendar" box and select "LB/AS SIGN UP"
- Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
- Type LB for Lunch Bunch, AS for After School or LB/AS for Both
