Summer Reading, Math, Course Prep & Supply Lists ~ Coming June 1st
We all need a little break from the routine, but summer work helps to keep our students engaged and their skills sharp. We are in the process of updating all of the summer work requirements and supply lists for Lower and Upper School students. They will be published and ready for you to access on June 1st. Requirements and lists will be categorized by grade under the “Parents” tab of the website or by following this link.

The "Parents" tab on the WCA website, WCALions.org, is the central place to find much of the information that you, as a WCA parent, need to know.
In addition to summer reading lists, you may also find summer course prep information for AP and dual enrollment classes, a copy of the WCA student handbook and uniform guidelines. And for those of you who like to plan ahead, this is where you will find the class supply lists for 2024-2025. For the rest of us, there's a bit of summer first!

Academic Year Calendar Update
There has been an update to our 2024-2025 academic calendar. The faculty development day has been moved to Monday, March 10, 2025. Please follow this link to see the full calendar for next year.
Summer Office Hours
Westminster school and administrative offices will transition to our summer schedule after Memorial Day on Tuesday, May 28th. Offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 am until noon. All offices will be closed the week of July 1st - 5th for the July 4th holiday week. Normal business hours will resume on August 1st.
WCA Library Summer Hours
We are excited that our library will be open on Tuesday mornings this summer from 9:30 until 11:30 am, beginning June 4th. Please know that the library will be not be open the week of July 4th on Tuesday, July 2nd. We hope that you'll take advantage of this opportunity to check out reading materials from our amazing and growing collection!
Summer 2024 Camps @ Westminster - Registrations Closing
The last day to register is May 29th!
We are excited to offer a variety of camps to our community this summer! Keep your student(s) active and learning by enrolling them in one or more of our camps. There are camp offerings in sports, art and academics. The last day to register for camps is Wednesday, May 29th. Please follow this link for a complete list of camp offerings and to register your student(s).
Upper School Technology
Thinking ahead in preparation for the fall.
Westminster requires all 8th through 12th grade students to have a personal laptop each day. The goal is to give students the opportunity to learn how to utilize technology appropriately and effectively while enhancing their educational experience. Please follow this link to learn more and access upper school technology requirements.
License to drive this summer?
Do you have a teenager who will be getting either their learner's permit or driver's license over the summer? If so, you will need a certificate of enrollment to complete the process. To get an enrollment certificate, please contact Laura Boswell - 706-769-9372 or office@wcalions.org. Due to summer office hours, be sure to plan ahead for additional time to get the necessary form.
WCA Online Uniform ReSale
Do you have outgrown uniforms you'd like to sell or do you need the next size up? There is a Facebook group - WCA Clothing ReSale - to facilitate this process. All you need to do is follow this link, or search for the group by name, request to join and sell & buy at your pleasure!
Uniforms @ Lands End
Lands' End is the chosen uniform supplier for WCA including logo items required for Lower School students. This link will take you directly to Lands' End School Uniform site. Click on the "shop your school" link and from there you can access the WCA uniform items by either searching using WCA's preferred school code - 900052127 or entering WCA's name in the search bar. By registering with Lands End, you will receive emails from them about school uniform savings events during the summer.
Summer Lady Lions Basketball
Rising 7th-12 grade girls interested in skill development for the Lady Lions Basketball program, please join us for summer workouts!
All Summer Skill Development sessions will be from 5:30-7 PM every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening in June.
These sessions are free, and they are geared toward girls wanting to improve and play at the high school level. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Deep @ thedeepfamily@gmail.com
