Student Success Eligibility

At Westminster, students must demonstrate the ability to master our college preparatory curriculum with rigorous academic standards and student expectations. The Student Success Program was developed to support the learning needs of students who may need additional academic assistance in order to be successful as they move through our curriculum.

The most common needs we are able to serve are learning differences in the areas of reading, writing, and math and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

In order to qualify for a Student Success Plan, a student needs to have a current (within 3 years) psycho-educational evaluation performed by a licensed psychologist. The report must state a specific learning difference or diagnosis and include recommendations for classroom and/or testing accommodations.

As a covenant school, the Student Success Program depends on close communication between parents and school staff. Our Director of Student Success monitors the use and implementation of classroom and testing accommodations, outside tutoring, as well as communication with families.
