Spirit Week 2018 – What will we see next?
So far this week on campus we’ve been seeing red and black and some unusual characters such as Martin Luther and Bob Ross, not to mention twins that nature did not intend! And now, the fun continues with only two days left in the upper school Spirit Week.
Thursday – Old & Young Day
Friday – Blue & Gold Day
Daily winners are being chosen and will be featured on a spirit dedicated page of the 2017-2018 yearbook.
Please remember that all chosen clothing needs to follow WCA guidelines for modesty. Any student dressed inappropriately will be asked to call home for a normal school uniform for the remainder of the day.
Admissions Preview Night
Our next admissions preview event is tomorrow evening, Thursday, January 11th, beginning at 6:30 pm in the administrative building.
If you know families that are interested in learning more about the exciting things happening at our school, please help us spread the word about this event. This is an excellent opportunity to meet members of our administrative team, tour the campus and hear from current students and families. Don’t forget about our referral program where you will receive $300 for every family you refer that enrolls at WCA!
Questions? Please contact Laura Briscoe, email@example.com or 706-769-9372, ext 120.
Coffee and Conversation for 5th Grade Parents
This Friday, January 12th, get your day started by sharing a cup of coffee with your fellow 5th grade parents. Beginning at 8 am in the library, there will be a time of coffee and conversation for parents of students headed to middle school next year. This is an informal opportunity to enjoy a time of fellowship together and learn more about the transition from lower school to upper school.
Questions? Please contact Ryan Gibadlo, firstname.lastname@example.org.

A Taste of High School for 8th Grade Parents
All WCA eighth grade parents are invited to attend “A Taste of High School” on Thursday, January 18th. This event is an overview of the opportunities for our high school students and dinner will be provided and delightfully served by WCA student “wait staff”. The event will begin at 6 pm in the gym and more details will be forwarded to parents.

It’s time to turn in your BoxTops
Shop, clip and turn them in by Friday, February 23rd – this semester’s deadline. So, before you throw that container in the recycling bin, check it for the pink “BoxTops” rectangle and clip it! Every BoxTop clipped is worth 10 cents for our school.
The lower school classroom that collects the most BoxTops earns a Casual Friday. So, help our school earn money and your child earn a blue jean day! Please turn your BoxTops in to your lower school classroom teacher or in the school office.
As we go through our days, please remember the keep the following WCA families in your prayers. Also, please email Tami Butts (email@example.com) with updated and/or new prayer requests. It is an honor to pray for each other.
- Please continue to pray for Sabrina Garcia (Noah, 11th and Jacob, 9th) and her family. Pray for her continued strengthening and her medical team as they make decisions for her future treatments.
- Anderson Krieger (9th grade) and his family, as he continues his treatment for recurrent leukemia and moves into the maintenance phase of his treatment. For the most recent updates and specific prayer needs, please follow Sally on social media.
- Brent Weatherly and his family. You can follow his journey and receive specific prayer requests. http://dbw26.wordpress.com.
Prayer requests are included here at the request, or with the permission, of the family.
