Donuts with Dads

We look forward to having our campus full of WCA Dads as our Lower School hosts our annual Donuts with Dads event this Friday, September 6th.  All lower school dads are invited to join their child(ren) in their classroom(s) from 7:35 until 8 am for this sweet event.  Come when you can and leave when you have to.  If dads aren't able to attend, grandfathers, uncles, big brothers, etc. are always welcome!  If you have questions, please contact Tiffany Rasmussen, trasmussen@wcalions.org.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

School Pass Program for Lower School Pickup Begins Next Week

Be sure you're ready!

The School Pass automated pickup management program is beginning on our campus for lower school families next week beginning on Monday, September 9th.  All lower school families should have received two separate emails in recent days - one from School Pass with instructions for setting up your parents' account and one from lower school principal, Tiffany Rasmussen, with additional information. Please note that your car tags will be sent home with your child in this week’s Friday folders with instructions on how to affix them to your car. We will begin our new carline system on Monday, September 9th, so please be sure your app is ready to go and your car tags are applied.

WCA Golf Classic 2024

Save the date!

Mark your calendars and get ready for our 4th annual WCA Golf Classic Tournament.  This year's tournament will be held at The Georgia Club on Monday, November 18th.  This annual fundraising event supports our campus expansion, new programs and improvements which ultimately improves the Westminster experience for our students.  Look for registrations opening soon!

Caps for CURE

September 9th through 13th

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and that means it's time for our annual Caps for CURE fundraiser!

Caps for CURE is a school-wide event benefiting CURE Childhood Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through targeted research while supporting patients and their families.  This year, our Caps for CURE fundraiser will take place the week of September 9th through 13th.

Students may make a one-time $5 donation for the privilege of wearing a cap or hat to school each day (September 9 - 13) of the fundraising week.  Additionally, all donations of any size are appreciated whether you choose to don a cap or not!  Lower School students may pay their teachers and Upper School students will pay their first block teachers.

Last year WCA raised an amazing $1,323  and we'd love to surpass this amount with this year's giving.  Thank you in advance for your support of this noble cause!

Grandparents' Day 2024

New School Year, New Grandparents Day Format!

It is always an exciting day when we welcome our Westminster grandparents to our campus!  This year, we will be following a new format for Grandparents' Day.  In lieu of our normal school day, we are excited to welcome all grandparents to campus to enjoy breakfast, a special program and a classroom tour with their grandchildren.  To ensure that there is adequate parking for our visitors, this year there will be two sessions to choose from - 8:15 am or 10 am.  Please follow this link to select the time for your family.  You may also see the Grandparents' Day 2024 Flyer for additional information.

After your visit:

Students are welcome to leave campus with their grandparents after their visit.  We will have early dismissal at 11:30 for any remaining students.  Enjoy going to lunch, spending time together, and thank you for sharing your time with us!  We look forward to celebrating this day with you and yours.

After School Not Available:

Due to Grandparents' Day not being a normal school day, please know that our After School program will not be available on this day, Friday, September 20th.

For All Upper School Students, Grandparents Day is a Day Off:

Grandparents' Day, Friday, September 20th, will be an official day off for all WCA upper school students in grades 6 - 12.  This simplifies activities on campus for Grandparents' Day and allows us to have additional parking available for our guests.  So, enjoy the early start to your weekend!

PSAT Testing Day

for grades 8-11 on October 11th

PSAT testing day for WCA students in grades 8 - 11 will be on Friday, October 11th.  This test is a great way for us to use test scores to help the students learn about and practice college test taking!   Please know that FACTS accounts will be billed $18 per test.

This year, all students will be required to have their own computer.  WCA does not have extra computers for students. Please know that school-owned computers are being used for technology classes.  If you have any questions, contact Kelly Cole kcole@wcalions.org.

Support WCA's Teacher Appreciation Committee with your donation today!

The WCA Teacher Appreciation Committee is a parent led, parent funded committee that works with the school to organize teacher events throughout the school year with the goal of encouraging and blessing our faculty and staff.   In order to achieve this, we need donations from our families.  A $15 - $25 donation per family is suggested, but any amount is greatly appreciated!  Please follow this link to complete the donation form for your family.  Your FACTS account will be charged for this donation in mid-September.  Thank you in advance for supporting this cause!
