Class of 2021 STAR Student

Congratulations to Mary Caroline McCormack who is this year's STAR student honor recipient.  The STAR student award is given to the senior who has the highest SAT score on a single test date and who is also in the top ten students in their class based on grade point average.  As STAR Student, Mary Caroline chose Mrs. Emma Stephens as STAR Teacher to share in this recognition.

Rotary Student of the Semester

Congratulations to WCA senior, Juliet Guthrie, for being selected as Rotary Student of the Semester!  The Oconee Rotary Club recognizes students from each of the county's high schools with its twice-a-year Student of the Semester program.  The students are chosen by the schools for excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Juliet selected Emma Stephens as her Teacher of the Semester.  Thank you both for representing Westminster so well!

Visual Arts ~ GAPPS Region Champions

WCA's middle school and high school artists finished last week's regional competition in first place as region champions!  All high school works that placed in the top 4 will continue on to the state competition being held this Thursday, April 29th, in Macon.

State Playoffs Begin This Week @ WCA

Our varsity soccer and baseball teams have finished their regular seasons number one in our region and begin their post season play this week!  WCA is hosting the first round of the GAPPS state playoffs beginning with a baseball double header against Cherokee Christian Thursday afternoon at 2:30 pm.  On Friday the 30th, our varsity girls soccer team competes against Fidelis Christian at 5:30 pm followed by our varsity boys at 7:30 pm against Johnson Ferry.   Please see the links below for state playoff brackets.  

Congratulations to all athletes and coaches on their successful seasons and go Lions!  Hope to see you there!

One Last Time!  Boonli.com Open for May Lunch Orders

Don't miss out!  Boonli.com will be open for May lunch orders until midnight tonight.

Be sure to check out what's new for this month  - Brett's Monte Christo Sandwich with either fruit or chips.

If you have an existing Boonli.com account, your log-in will remain the same.  Please note, existing account holders have to update profiles for each student before you can see the menus.  If you are new to the WCA community, or if this is your first time placing an order, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Boonli.com
  • Click the link to "Log In" at the top of the page
  • Enter the password for our school - WCA319
  • Follow prompts to complete your registration including profiles for each of your students. 
  • Order lunches for each student. (lunches are ordered by the month in advance)
  • Be sure to go to check out and pay after you've made your selections.  Your order is not placed until it's paid for!

AP Exam Schedule

They've been prepping all year, and it is now time for students taking advanced placement classes to take their course exams.  All AP testing will take place at Watkinsville First Baptist Church on Simonton Bridge Road.  To view the schedule, please follow this link.  Exams listed as "AM" start at 7:30 am and those listed as "PM" exams start at 12 pm.  Questions?   Please talk to Kelly Cole - kcole@wcalions.org.

Lunch Bunch & After School Sign-Up

Parents needing to send their student(s) to LunchBunch and/or AfterSchool, please remember that you need to pre-register by following the directions outlined below:

  • Click the link: Lunch Bunch & After School Registration
  • Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If Lunch Bunch or After School reach max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day. 
  • Click on the "Calendar" box and select "LB/AS SIGN UP" 
  • Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
  • Type LB for Lunch Bunch, AS for After School or LB/AS for both
