Lost & Found

One last call!  Lost and found items are on display in the gym.  Please check the tables for items that might belong to your household.  Items will be on  display until Thursday, May 19th at 2:45 pm.  Any unclaimed items at that time will be donated.  As always, thank you for your assistance with this process!

Summer on Campus

Westminster school and administrative offices will transition to our summer schedule beginning next week - May 23rd.  Offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 am until noon.  All offices will be closed the week of July 4 - 8 and will re-open on Monday, July 11th.

Summer Reading, Math & Course Prep

We all need a little break from the routine, but summer work helps to keep students engaged and their skills sharp.  With that in mind, the WCA website will be updated with information and requirements for summer reading, math and course prep work for grades 1 - 12 this Monday, May 23rd.  Lists can be found under the parents tab of the WCA website or by following this link   beginning Monday.

Find it under the "Parents" Tab

The "Parents" tab on the WCA website, WCALions.org, is the central place to find much of the information that you, as a WCA parent, need to know.

In addition to summer reading lists, you may also find summer course prep information for AP and dual enrollment classes, a copy of the WCA student handbook and uniform guidelines.  And for those of you who like to plan ahead, the class supply lists for 2022-2023 are also posted.  For the rest of us, there's a bit of summer first!

Do you use the RenWeb app on your phone?

Our updated FACTS Family app will be replacing the RenWeb Home app this summer. Beginning on June 1, 2022, your families currently using RenWeb Home can log into the app store and download the FACTS Family app to continue accessing their current content – and so much more. The RenWeb Home app will be officially discontinued on August 15, so families must download the FACTS Family app prior to this to prevent an interruption in content access.

Please note that families that have already paid the $4.99 app fee for RenWeb Home will not be charged for their FACTS Family app download until their RenWeb Home subscription period is over.  This is through wherever you purchased the App (Apple, etc).

Summer @ the WCA Library

Summer Hours

We are excited that our library will be open on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am until 11:30 am evvery week starting June 9th through July 20th (not open the week of July 4th).  We hope that you'll take advantage of this opportunity to check out reading materials from our amazing and growing collection.

License to drive this summer?

Do you have teenager who will be getting either their learner's permit or driver's license over the summer?  If so, you will need a certification of enrollment to complete the process.  To get an enrollment certification, please contact Laura Boswell - 706-769-9372 or office@wcalions.org.  Due to summer office hours, be sure to plan for additional time to get the necessary form.

WCA Online Uniform ReSale

As we go through our days, please remember to keep the following WCA family in your prayers. Also, please email Tami Butts (tbutts@wcalions.org) with updated and/or new prayer requests.  It is an honor to pray for each other.

Please be in prayer for our upper school art teacher, Jackie Kirsche.  She is experiencing a recurrence of her ovarian cancer and will be beginning treatment next week on April 20th.  Prayers for the the lack of complications and the effectiveness of the treatment are much appreciated.  Jackie will be continuing to work during this time hoping to only miss as treatment days require.  Thank you for remembering Jackie, her husband Kevin and children Berkley (class of 2013), Sierra (class of 2016) and Hadley (class of 2018) with your prayers during this time.

Please be in prayer for Konda Johnson (Grace - 10th, Hollan - Class of 2019) as she walks through the next stage of her journey with recurrent metastatic cholangiocarcinoma cancer.  She is beginning a new treatment in the form of a pill that has recently been approved and will be closely monitored as treatment progresses.  It is called targeted therapy which targets only the cancer and there is great hope that this will be successful.  Prayers are requested and greatly appreciated for Konda and her family as she faithfully continues this journey.

Prayer requests are included here at the request, or with the permission of the family.
