It's Almost Time! Back to School Week
After months of planning for the first day of school, it is finally time! Below are the dates and times you need to know for WCA's upcoming Back to School Week.
WCA's Back to School Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 11th. This is a great time to meet the teacher, shop the school store and get your student's schedule. Face coverings are encouraged for this event, and we kindly request that you maintain appropriate social distancing.

The first day of classes is Wednesday, August 12th. Please note that our first day of classes is an early release day for all students as follows:
Lower School Dismissal - 11:30 am
Upper School Dismissal - 12 pm
We look forward to welcoming new families to our community and seeing familiar faces as we begin another amazing year at WCA!
WCA School Store
Get your new Lions gear next week during open house! The WCA school store will be open Tuesday and then again on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 until 8:15. The store is fully stocked with your favorites and soon to be favorite new items. Also make sure you have the required PE uniform for upper school student(s).
Be sure to stop by and check out what's new. The store accepts cash, check and card payments. Beginning the week of the 17th, the store will resume normal operating hours of Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 until 8:15 am. See you there!
Lunch Program Begins August 17th - Order Now!
Westminster is pleased to work with local vendors to provide our families with the opportunity to order lunches for their student(s).
The WCA lunch program for the new school year will begin with deliveries on Monday, August 17th and you can place your orders now on Boonli.com. The deadline for August lunch orders will be Wednesday, August 12th at midnight.
New for this year is the addition of Newk's to our schedule! You will also find new menu offerings from several vendors. For those of you who have ordered before, the ordering process is slightly changed to hopefully streamline placing orders. You will notice that you can order for a student for the whole month by scrolling down one screen without having to change days.

If you have an existing Boonli.com account, your log-in will remain the same. Please note, existing account holders have to update profiles for each student before you can see the menus.
If you are new to the WCA community, or if this is your first time placing an order, please follow these steps:
- Go to Boonli.com
- Click the link to "Register" at the top of the page
- Enter the password for our school - WCA319
- Follow prompts to complete your registration including profiles for each of your students.
- Order lunches for each student
- Be sure to go to checkout and pay after you've made your selections. Your order is not placed until it's paid for!

Lunch Volunteers Needed

A vital piece of the WCA lunch program is our amazing parents who volunteer their time to help. We need parents who would be willing to distribute lunches once a week at WCA from approximately 11:30 -12:30. Ideally, we like to have two parents for each day. So, you could volunteer with a friend if you like! If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Tollie Ediger, tediger@wcalions.org.
WCA Parent Association
The Parent Association at WCA organizes several school-wide events and activities that greatly enhance our school. In order to accomplish this, many volunteers are needed. Events and activities include Grandparents' Day, Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation and Campus Beautification.

Lunch Bunch and After School Sign-Up
Due to Covid-19 regulations, we will need to limit the number of students in Lunch Bunch (Half day Kindergarten and Pre-K students) and After School (All lower school and 6th grade). Advanced sign-up will be required.
How do I sign up?
- Click the link: Lunch Bunch & After School Registration
- Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If Lunch Bunch or After School reach max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day.
- Click on the "Calendar" box and select "LB/AS SIGN UP"
- Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
- Type LB for Lunch Bunch, AS for After School or LB/AS for Both

The "Parents" tab on the WCA website, WCALions.org, is the central place to find much of the information that you, as a WCA parent, need to know.
In addition to summer reading lists, you will also find summer course prep information for AP and dual enrollment classes, a copy of the WCA student handbook and uniform guidelines. Additionally, this is where you will find the supply lists for your back to school shopping.

Lands' End is the chosen uniform supplier for WCA including logo items required for Lower School students.
Follow the link below to go directly to Lands' End School Uniform site. Click on the "shop your school" link and from there you can access the WCA uniform items by either searching using WCA's preferred school code - 900052127 or entering WCA's name in the search bar.

Have outgrown uniforms you'd like to sell or do you need the next size up? There is a Facebook groups - WCA Clothing ReSale - to facilitate this process. All you need to do is search for the group by name, request to join and sell & buy at your pleasure!
Prayer Requests for the Weekly Announcements
One of the joys of being a part of the WCA community is that we have the privilege of praying for each other. As a part of our weekly announcements, we include prayer requests submitted from WCA families.
If you have a prayer request to share with our school community, please email Tami Butts, tbutts@wcalions.org, to be included in the upcoming weekly announcements. Please know that prayer requests are included at the request of, or with the permission of, the family.
