Westminster’s Academic Support Program is thrilled to add four additional, highly-qualified teachers to its tutoring staff! Please take a moment to read about these four ladies, and virtually meet Elizabeth Clement, Allison Hall, Amy Lanclos and Donna Miller.
Elizabeth Clement is a graduate of Meredith College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, minoring in Computer Studies, and a master’s degree in Mathematics Education. She has taught both College Algebra and Pre-Calculus and tutored at the Math Learning Center at UNC. Elizabeth is interested in tutoring middle and upper school students in the area of mathematics. Elizabeth is mom to John Huss, Gardner, and Eliza Jane.
Alison Hall is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education in Early Childhood, and her Master of Education degree in Early Childhood. Alison has taught school at the elementary level. She is very familiar with our literacy initiatives and program components and is interested in tutoring elementary students in any area of academics. Alison is mom to Michael and William.
Amy Lanclos currently teaches Language Arts in grades 6th-9th at Westminster. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Education from the University of Georgia. She tutored and taught basic composition, grammar, and public speaking skills at Durham Technical and Community College and has also taught at the elementary grade level. She is mom to Daniel, David, Emily Ann, and Mary.
Donna Miller is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. As a certified therapist, Donna is able to work with multidisciplinary teams and a variety of children and adults with disabilities. Donna will complete her teaching certification requirement this summer. She is interested in tutoring elementary aged students this summer and next year. Donna is mom to Grey and Matthew.
