Westminster Christian Academy is delighted to announce the hire of Jared Clark as its new Head of School.
Clark was carefully and prayerfully selected out of dozens of candidates from a nationwide search. He and his wife Sara have three daughters, Abby, Avery and Aubrey who are excited to become active members of the Westminster community. Being a product himself of Christian education, Clark is passionate about training the next generation to effectively engage the culture for Christ. “I believe that more than ever before, Christian schools must be intentionally focused on developing students with a strong biblical worldview who are able to think critically, communicate effectively, and discern the truths of the Bible,” said Clark.
Born and raised in Stone Mountain, GA where he attended Stone Mountain Christian School, Clark received his undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University and is in the final stages of completing a Masters of Educational Administration from Cedarville University. Clark has extensive experience in Christian education and has served as a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, Dean of Students, Principal and in his current role as Head of the Lower and Middle School at Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, TN. Clark also gained valuable experience in the corporate world while working for a Fortune 500 company.
“I am excited to partner with the faculty, students and families of Westminster Christian Academy as we seek to develop the next generation of Christian scholars and leaders,” said Clark.
While an official start date has yet to be nailed down, the Clarks are wasting no time to begin the acclimation process for their family. In fact, Clark’s daughters will be on campus later this month to shadow each of their respective grade levels.
The school’s current headmaster James Armistead will complete his time with Westminster Friday, March 13. Armistead took on the role July 1, 2012 and has graciously led the school and advanced Westminster during the past three years. Armistead and his wife Patti will soon move to the Maryland area where Armistead has accepted the headmaster position at a school near Washington, D.C.
