Miss the Pep Rally?  Here’s a quick peek.

Students saw a side of faculty they don’t usually see and fun was had by all at last week’s pep rally.  This rally was to kick of Senior Recognition Night for our volleyball team.  The whole student body was there to watch as the men’s faculty team squared off against the varsity volleyball team for a fiercely competitive battle!  However, the “W” went to the varsity players in the end.  (Supposedly the faculty are looking for new line judges).  The team went on to win their match against Cherokee Christian.  Congratulations to our Seniors and thank you for your contributions to athletics at WCA!

2016 – 2017 Annual Fund

af-cover

The 2016-2017 Annual Fund campaign is off to a great start as we have received gifts and pledges totaling $56,033 towards reaching our goal of $135,000! 100% of our faculty and staff and Board of Directors have participated in giving to this campaign. Thank you to all who have already participated!   With the help of each family, we will be able to meet our goal of $135,000.  Remember that you can participate with either a monetary gift or by returning the note cards with names and addresses of family and friends who might be willing to give on your behalf. Every gift or card will help us reach our goal and allow us to make significant improvements to our programs and campus. Will you prayerfully consider how your family can help?

Prayer Requests

As the body of Christ, we have the privilege of praying for each other.  If you have a prayer request that you would like to have included here, please contact Tami Butts, tbutts@wcalions.org.

Currently, our community has families that are in need of our daily prayer support.  As you follow the blogs of Hodge Rivers, Brent Weatherly and Hannie Lanclos, there is much to pray for and much to be grateful for.  Thank you for all to do to support these members of our WCA family.

  • Westminster student Hodge Rivers (K) is undergoing treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma. You can follow Hodge’s journey at his caring bridge site, caringbridge.org/hodgerivers.
  • Please be in prayer for Brent Weatherly and his family. He has started a blog where you can follow his journey and receive specific prayer requests. http://dbw26.wordpress.com.
  • Thank you for your continued prayers for Hannie Lanclos and her family as she continues her path of healing.  She is a daily testimony to God’s goodness!
Prayer requests are included here at the request, or with the permission, of the family.
