2016 – 2017 Annual Fund

af-coverBy now, each WCA family should have received a packet with information regarding the 2016-17 Annual Fund.  Our goal is that every family would participate by either giving a financial gift or by returning the postcards for family and friends.  Will you help us reach our goal of 100% participation?  Remember that your gift funds important improvements to our campus that are not funded through tuition.  We are grateful that we have already received gifts totaling $26,500 towards our goal of $135,000!

WCA Gear for Fall

new-gearIt finally feels like Fall!  Don’t forget to stop by the school store and pick up WCA gear for these cooler temperatures.  There are sweatshirts (both hoodies and crew necks), fleece jackets and quarter zip pullovers plus more to choose from to help keep your student warm in WCA style.  Store hours:  Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7:30 – 8:15 am.  Look forward to seeing you there!

Early Dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences – Wednesday, October 19th

All WCA students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, October 19th, in order to allow for parent teacher conferences.  Students will be dismissed as follows:

Lower School Dismissal – 11:00 am

Upper School Dismissal – 11:20 am

For the sake of traffic flow, we are asking all upper school parents to park in the parking lot and wait for your upper school child instead of pulling into the traffic circle.  Your assistance with this is great appreciated!  Additional details regarding scheduling of parent teacher conferences will be forwarded later this week.

Prayer Requests

As the body of Christ, we have the privilege of praying for each other.  If you have a prayer request that you would like to have included here, please contact Tami Butts, tbutts@wcalions.org.

Currently, our community has families that are in need of our daily prayer support.  As you follow the blogs of Hodge Rivers, Brent Weatherly and Hannie Lanclos, there is much to pray for and much to be grateful for.  Thank you for all to do to support these members of our WCA family.

  • Westminster student Hodge Rivers (K) is undergoing treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma. You can follow Hodge’s journey at his caring bridge site, caringbridge.org/hodgerivers.
  • Please be in prayer for Brent Weatherly and his family. He has started a blog where you can follow his journey and receive specific prayer requests. http://dbw26.wordpress.com.
  • Thank you for your continued prayers for Hannie Lanclos and her family as she continues her path of healing.  She is a daily testimony to God’s goodness!
Prayer requests are included here at the request, or with the permission, of the family.
