WCA Art News
Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital offers a program called “Peds Painters” which showcases local student artwork (grades 1-8) in the pediatric unit. This exhibit was created to brighten the hallways and to bring hope and smiles to their youngest patients and their families.
Local schools are invited to submit one piece of art to be displayed over each of the three seasons of the school year. This fall, WCA fifth grader, Izalou Morecraft’s collage was chosen for the exhibit. Congratulations, Izalou!
Westminster is honored to participate in this special program.

2016 GICAA Volleyball All Star Tournament is coming to WCA – Volunteers Needed!
Company is coming! Will you help us be ready?
This year, WCA has the honor of hosting the GICAA Volleyball All Star Tournament this Saturday, November 5th. This will be a fun and hopefully fruitful day for our school and athletics programs. It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our campus as we welcome players, officials and spectators with our special brand of hospitality.
We need your help to make the day a success! Please consider giving an hour or so of your time to help facilitate the concessions, admissions and officiating duties during this tournament – and, as a bonus, you get to watch some excellent competitive play while you serve! Follow this link to the sign up genius to access the tournament and claim your spot! Questions? Please contact Shoan Greene (706-202-9963) or Casey Clayton (email@example.com).
As the body of Christ, we have the privilege of praying for each other. If you have a prayer request that you would like to have included here, please contact Tami Butts, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please continue to pray for the Needham family (sixth grader Linley) as Linley’s three year old brother Beck has been diagnosed with pre-B cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Beck is at home now and traveling to Atlanta to receive chemotherapy treatments at Scottish Rite. For questions, or to address immediate needs, please contact Julie Tomlin (email@example.com).
For other known prayer requests, the families have set up blogs that you can follow to keep up to date. As you read the blogs, there is much to pray for and much for which to be thankful.
- Westminster student Hodge Rivers (K) is undergoing treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma. You can follow Hodge’s journey at his caring bridge site, caringbridge.org/hodgerivers.

- Thank you for your continued prayers for Hannie Lanclos and her family as she continues her path of healing. She is a daily testimony to God’s goodness!
