Westminster Christian Academy took three students to this week’s state geography and spelling bees. Seventh graders, Peyton Deep and Andrew Mulkey competed in the geography bowl and eighth grader, Aron Bauer competed in both geography and spelling. At the end of the day, Peyton Deep finished 5th overall in a tough final round in the geography bee. Aron Bauer finished his day of competition by bringing home the runner-up trophy in the spelling bee. Congratulations to these clever competitors who did a great job representing WCA!

As the body of Christ, we have the privilege of praying for each other. If you have a prayer request that you would like to have included here, please contact Tami Butts, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please continue to pray for the Krieger family as their son, Anderson (8th), is undergoing treatment for a relapse of his leukemia. He has almost completed his intense firsts round of treatments which have required him to stay in Scottish Rite for the past month. This week has been difficult as Anderson developed an infection from his treatment port site. He is recovering from this infection and being weened off steroids in preparation for hopefully going home later this week. Specific prayer requests are for good test results from this week’s bone marrow testing and continued healing for Anderson’s body from the infection and the side effects of some of his medications. The results from the bone marrow test will determine future treatment plans. Also prayers for peace, strength and provision for Sally (1st grade teacher), Jon and Ian (10th). If you would like to help the family in any way, please contact Julie Tomlin, email@example.com.
There are members of our community in need of our faithful prayer support. These families have set up blogs that you can follow to keep up to date. As you read the blogs, there is much to pray for and much for which to be thankful.
- For updates and specific prayer requests for the Needham family (Linley 6th), please read Susanna Needham’s blog to follow their families journey as 3 yr. old, Beck, is undergoing treatment for leukemia. For questions, or to address immediate needs, please contact Julie Tomlin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
- Please be in prayer for Brent Weatherly and his family. He has started a blog where you can follow his journey and receive specific prayer requests. http://dbw26.wordpress.com.
Thank you for lifting up these members of our WCA family.
