Friday, September 2nd – a.k.a. College Colors Day
We’re in the south, the calendar says it’s almost September and that means one thing . . . College Football! To kick off the college football season, WCA is having our annual College Colors Day. Whether you’re a Bulldog, a Gamecock or even a Yellow Jacket, we want to see you dressed in your favorite team’s colors this Friday, September 2nd. Both upper school and lower school students may wear their college colors along with school approved bottoms. (For upper school, bottoms must follow Casual Friday guidelines as usual; for lower school, jeans or non-uniform bottoms (meeting uniform length guidelines) may be worn.) We look forward to seeing you sporting your College Colors on Friday!
Labor Day Holiday
Westminster will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Enjoy this last vestige of summertime with your family and be safe! School will re-open on Tuesday the 6th.

Shhhh . . . Volunteer Opportunity in the Library
If you like detailed work and a peaceful working environment, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! The WCA library needs a few volunteers to help process books. Volunteers would be helping one hour a week throughout the semester. If this seems like a good fit for you, please contact Sandy Stowe, firstname.lastname@example.org, for more details.
As the body of Christ, we have the privilege of praying for each other. If you have a prayer request that you would like to have included here, please contact Tami Butts, email@example.com.
Currently, our community has families that are in need of our daily prayer support. As you follow the blogs of Hodge Rivers, Brent Weatherly and Hannie Lanclos, there is much to pray for and much to be grateful for. Thank you for all to do to support these members of our WCA family.
- Westminster student Hodge Rivers (K) is undergoing treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma this spring. He has a PET scan coming up soon so please pray for that scan to be clear. You can follow Hodge’s journey at his caring bridge site, caringbridge.org/hodgerivers.
- Please be in prayer for Brent Weatherly and his family. He has started a blog where you can follow his journey and receive specific prayer requests. http://dbw26.wordpress.com.
- Thank you for your continued prayers for Hannie Lanclos and her family as she continues her path of healing. She is a daily testimony to God’s goodness!
