Ready or not, Christmas break is almost here! WCA will be closed from December 19th – January 3rd, 2017 with classes resuming on the 4th. It’ll be an exciting week when we return with upper school spirit week followed by our Homecoming celebration on the 7th. May this break be a blessed time of family, friends and thankfulness. Be safe out there and we look forward to seeing you in January!
Class of 2017 Decks the Halls
It’s final exams week in the upper school and the Senior Class of 2017 has done their part to encourage their fellow students. Over the weekend, they decked the halls and transformed the gymnasium with Christmas lights, trees and decorations not to mention the encouragement to . . . “sleigh these exams”. It looks great. Thank you seniors for your the gift of your time and talent.
Keep up the courage, Christmas break is your reward for all this hard work!

Upper School Exam Schedule
The Upper School will hold final exams next week December 13th – 16th. The exam schedule has been published and you may either access the schedule by following this link or pick up a copy in the school office. These days will be early release days and in an effort to eliminate confusion, please be aware of and remember the following:
- December 14th – 15th: 11:15 am Early Dismissal for Upper School Students Only (Grades 6 – 12)
- December 16th: 9:30 am, Early Dismissal for ALL Students

Don’t forget to order lunches for January delivery before end of the today. When the new year is here, you’ll be glad you did!
To place an order, please go to OrderLunches.com and log in to your account. There are several notifications during the month of December so please check to see if any apply to your student(s). It’s a very short school month with the holidays and the end of the semester.
If you have not placed an order before, you will need to create an account. After clicking the “register” link, enter the school code WCA319 and follow the prompts to complete your registration. You will need to complete a profile for each student designating them as either upper school or lower school to ensure that you have access to the correct menu items. Questions? Westminster will be hosting our alumni on campus with the 2017 Homecoming celebration coming up on Saturday, January 7th, 2017. Invitations have been mailed, but if you are in touch with any WCA alumni, please help us spread the word.

The Durlings are so thankful to our Lord and to the WCA community for it’s kindness and love shown after Anelisa’s cardiac arrest last December and during her recovery. Lost & Found – One last time for 2016!
Lost and found items will be available today and tomorrow morning for you and/or your students to look through and take your things home. The last day for items to be on display will be Thursday, December 15th. After dismissal at 11:15 on Thursday, all items left in lost and found will be donated. Questions? WCA Art Department 2017 Exhibits
Are you a supporter of the arts? Well, Jackie Kirsche, WCA Art Teacher, is looking for you, Three volunteers are needed to help with art installations after the first of the year. Assistance is needed framing artwork and installing/taking down various exhibits in the community and at the school. Upcoming exhibits include Jittery Joe’s, the upper school and OCAF. Additionally, artwork will be submitted to the GICAA region and state competitions in May. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jackie Kirsche (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Re-Enrollment Period Coming in January
With the start of the new year, it will be time to re-enroll for the 2017-2018 school year! The WCA re-enrollment period for current families will be from January 13th through January 31st, 2017. Re-enrollment gives your child class placement priority and allows us to gauge how many openings we will have during open enrollment for new students.
As we enter this re-enrollment period, we are so thankful for the confidence and support that you, the WCA families, have demonstrated in our school. It is an honor to partner with you. Please join us as we pray for our returning families and the new families that will be brought to our community. Additional details to come after the first of the year. Brrrr – “Baby it’s cold outside . . . “
The temperatures are finally dropping in Georgia and that brings the possibility of all sorts of frozen precipitation. Please know that in the case of inclement weather, Westminster will communicate any school/event closing, postponement or early release via text, social media and email. So, whether you’re hoping for snow or dreading the day, we will do everything we can to keep you informed!

There are members of our community in need of our faithful prayer support. These families have set up blogs that you can follow to keep up to date. As you read the blogs, there is much to pray for and much for which to be thankful.
