As is tradition each year at Westminster Christian Academy, the school’s families contribute a monetary gift to the “Christmas Fund” which is then divided amongst each school staff member.

Just prior to leaving for Christmas break, teachers are delighted to find a small envelope in his/her school mail box containing a small token of love in the form of cash!

This is always a tremendous blessing to faculty and staff, and never an expected gift.

Several staff members requested the following notes of gratitude be shared with the community:

Dear WCA Family!

My family and I would like to thank you for the Christmas gift. I feel continually blessed by our Lord to be part of this school and community. I sure enjoy teaching and learning from your children each day and can’t imagine a having a better working environment. Thanks again for your generosity.

Dear WCA Family,

Thank you so much for the generous Christmas bonus you gave to us this year. It was a special blessing to receive a bonus when money is so tight during the holidays. I know it was a sacrifice for you. I will probably save it toward a possible summer trip with a dear friend of mine whom I haven’t seen in years.

Blessings,

Julie Cohron

First Grade Teacher

Dear Parents,

Wow! I continue to be amazed at the generosity of WCA parents. As a result of the wonderful monetary Christmas gift, my family was able to take an overnight trip to Callaway Gardens. Thank you so much! You are a blessing to me!

Sincerely,

The money that I have received each year at Christmastime at WCA has been such a blessing to me. Those gifts have always come in handy for my personal use or to help out someone else in his/her time of need. What a true blessing the money has been to me and what a true joy you have been to me over the years. That is one of the things I will miss in my retirement!! Christmas will not be the same without that special added “Love Gift” from our wonderful parents!! I will miss you so much. Thanks for all your support over the years. You have been the greatest! I would not trade my years at WCA for any other teaching situation. I will miss the children and their families with all my heart. You have truly warmed the cockles of my heart.

With all my love in Christ,

Phyllis McAndrew
