The team is now preparing for the District Competition scheduled for Feb. 22, 2014 the University of Georgia’s School of Law.   New to Mock Trial this year, the District Competition will further filter the top teams and advance eight teams to the State Competition instead of 34.
At the District meet, the top three teams from the Athens region will go up against the top three teams from region 13. Westminster received a bye, as did the top team for region 13.  The 2nd and 3rd place teams from each region will go head to head.  The two winners from that round will go up against the top two teams for round two.  The final round (two winners from round two) will determine the District title.  The District champion will advance  to the State Competition scheduled for March 15, 2014.
