After an impressive showing at last month’s 4-H County Project Achievement (CPA), 11 of WCA’s 5th grade students advanced to the District Project Achievement (DPA) competition held at Rock Eagle Saturday, Feb. 14. Congratulations to the 24 Westminster students whose artwork was chosen for the county-wide Youth Art Month exhibit at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF). Westminster Christian Academy’s middle school girls basketball team is having an outstanding season which is representative of its current record of nine wins and only one by-the-skin-of-their-teeth loss. Congratulations to senior Daniel Lanclos on being recognized as Westminster’s Rotary Club Student of the Semester. English teacher Emma Stephens was chosen by Lanclos to receive the teacher of the semester award. Lanclos and Stephens were recognized along with other area Oconee students at the Rotary Club’s breakfast Tuesday morning, Jan. 6, 2015.
