I love Westminster Christian Academy because, though my children have always loved school, here, they have learned to love God. They have learned to walk daily with their God and to love each other, working every day to demonstrate a Christ-like character in both their academic and personal endeavors.

Our understanding of the Christian worldview compels us to go beyond training the mind only. We believe training the body brings glory to God as well, and athletics are an integral part of the comprehensive educational program at Westminster Christian Academy. Westminster looks to academics and athletics together to help students become well-rounded individuals and fulfill their God-given potential. We believe competitive team sports contribute significantly to the development of personal character, an attitude of cooperation and mutual support, and a feeling of school spirit. Sports also provide ideal situations for teaching biblical principles of behavior.
As a member of the Georgia Independent School Association, Westminster has a successful interscholastic athletic program offering a variety of athletic opportunities to students. Participation in athletics is open to all students who meet age and academic requirements and who demonstrate good character. We are delighted that nearly seventy-five percent of our eligible students participate in Westminster’s athletic program. Our coaches strongly emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, discipline, and respect for authority both on and off the playing field. This approach has produced teams that are not only competitive but also have earned an outstanding reputation for the manner in which they conduct themselves. Westminster students may also compete individually in such sports as track and swimming through the GISA.
Westminster also offers a separate recreational league for basketball and football. This program is open to all boys and girls in first through sixth grade. The recreational basketball teams are coached and officiated by older high school students, creating opportunities for personal interaction and positive role modeling. The recreational football league for boys is coached and supervised by parents.
